Nursing Research and Databases
CINAHL Database is the most authoritative source for nursing and allied health information. CINAHL provides indexing of the top nursing and allied health literature available including nursing journals as well as various heath topics. This database is available to Sitting Bull College students and also in the Sitting Bull College Library computer lab.
EBSCO Academic Search Premier
The world’s largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 4,700 publications, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed journals. Coverage spans virtually every area of academic study and offers information dating as far back as 1975.
Ebsco Health Source Nursing/ Academic Edition
This resource provides nearly 550 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Coverage of nursing and allied health is particularly strong, including full text from Creative Nursing, Issues in Comprehensive Pediatric Nursing, Issues in Mental Health Nursing, Journal of Advanced Nursing, Journal of Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing, Journal of Clinical Nursing, Journal of Community Health Nursing, Journal of Nursing Management, Nursing Ethics, Nursing Forum, Nursing Inquiry, and many more.
Ebsco MasterFILE Premier
Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 2,050 general reference publications with full text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier also includes more than 350 full text reference books, 82,968 biographies, 90,915 primary source documents, and an Image Collection of 107,135 photos, maps and flags.

Walk Softly and Listen Carefully: Building Research Relationships with Tribal Communities
This publication was produced with insights from those involved with tribal research in Montana and elsewhere. It was developed collaboratively by the National Congress of American Indians Policy Research Center and Montana State University’s Center for Native Health Partnerships.
These journal articles relate to historical trauma, also sometimes referred to as intergenerational trauma, transgenerational trauma, or post traumatic slavery disorder in the professional literature base. Broad survey articles along with those focused on historical trauma in African American, American Indian and Canadian First Nations, Armenian, Australian Aboriginal, Burundian, Cambodian Refugee, Caribbean and Caribbean American, Central and South American, Hmong American, Holocaust, Japanese American, Korean American, Latino American, Middle Eastern, Northern Ireland, Refugee, South African, Southeast Asian, War Veteran, and West African contexts are included.
