Horsemanship Activities
Horseback Activity is considered by many to be therapeutic; a famous horse quote says that “the outside of a horse is good for the inside of a Man”. The Ag Division at Sitting Bull College strives to maintain a cultural tradition of horsemanship, which is not only an aspect of Dakota/Lakota Culture but a heritage of the livestock industry of the region. The SBC Horsemanship Program provides Continuing Education Opportunities.
Clinics are held in the following:
Colt Starting
Rodeo Rough Stock
Roping
Cutting
Farrier
SBC Horsemanship Program as a way to engage the younger generation, provides youth rodeos.
